The Year of Faith
Updated: Jan 4, 2019
The number 19 in the Biblical context means “faith.” To have faith is to believe in God’s ability to make all things possible that the natural human mind is unable to understand. Abraham believed in God and God counted him as righteous. Abraham’s faith in God, led him to receive a generational blessing that was beyond his imagination.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV), “8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Faith is a gift from God that we need to learn to exercise. Yet the gospel must be heard and understood before the exercising of our faith can begin (Romans 10:17).
Hebrews 11:1 (NIV), “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV), “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Put your faith and trust in God. When you do, the sand on the beach and the stars in the sky will not out number your blessings.
Happy New Year!!
